Full Time Graphic Designer Position Available

What we do isn’t about following the rules. It’s not about playing it safe. It’s about who we are – and you don’t need auto-tune when you’ve got genuine, rock star talent. Every person at The James Agency brings his or her own unique genius and personality to every project we do. When you put us all together, you have a virtual planetoid of awesomeness.

As a full service advertising, public relations, web and media buying firm, we have the knowledge, talent and experience to get the job done. We work to create and build long lasting identities, actively manage brands, create strategic, targeted campaigns, and get results through the most creative, innovative ways possible…and do it all on time and within budget.

By being a boutique firm, we are able to better connect with our clients – we create symbiotic relationships between people and ideas, we inspire change through words and design, and we take the time to find out what will start our client’s evolution.

TJA is on a quest to find an amazing full-time graphic designer who’s talent is comparable to their personality…both being of the highest caliber. Being able to take direction is a must, however, the ability to articulate your own ideas and adding to the team, as a whole, is immensely important also!

The ideal person to join our team:

2 yrs or more industry experience

Proficient in CS5 software

Experience in developing websites and email campaigns

Demonstration of strong typography, composition and presentation skills

Understanding of web standards, cross-browser compatibility

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Top notch organizational and critical thinking skills

You prefer to sketch before going to the computer

Positive attitude and appropriately confident

Enthusiastic, diligent, and determined

TO APPLY:

Send an email to info@thejamesagency.com. Please use ‘Graphic Designer’ as the subject line. Submit a cover letter that lists the reasons why you will make a true impact to our team, a resume, and a portfolio or work samples. PDFs and links are preferred (please keep them under 4mb). No phone calls please.

I am thankful for the Internet and the remote capabilities in this modern age to be able to stay connected with my radical peers and clients - Dave

I’m thankful for karma and good energy that has been carving a path this year for our team and my life. And garlic. I’m thankful for the magic plant that we know as garlic. – Shane

I am thankful for family, friends and all of you guys! - Julie

I am most thankful for my awesome family and friends. Plus the best clients in the world! - Tracy

I’m thankful for the way our amazing talents come together to create a positive, fun and creative atmosphere…Oh yeah – and for Megan always making sure the cubbard is stocked with Cheez Itz. – Natalie

I’m thankful for employment that all the UA VisComm grads envy, and for my awesome family and my Framily (Friends who are as good as Family). And my husband. Holy sh*t, he’s cool. – Jillian

I’m thankful that we live and work in a place where the sun almost always shines, I work with crazy talented people and for my fantastic family. - Angie

I’m thankful to work with a group of people where creativity spontaneous flocks like the salmon of Capistrano, the get-togethers are always epic, the work is consistently off-the-charts fantastic and the camaraderie is unparalleled. – Jessica

I’m thankful for my family, friends, food, and working in such a great industry with creative people! – Bobby

I’m thankful for our office’s proximity to awesome lunch spots, the random music that flows from the creative room on days I need to smile, and the amazing people we work with (both the TJA team and our clients). We’re one lucky (grateful, well fed, and talented) bunch! – Morgan
