MIXT at Scottsdale Quarter to give away free salads

MIXT, a San Francisco-based chain offering salads and grain bowls, will be giving away free salads from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday at its Scottsdale Quarter location. In exchange, diners are encouraged to donate to Blue Watermelon Project, a local nonprofit founded by FnB chef Charleen Badman to help Valley kids learn to eat healthier.
